    Our post war record goalscorer passed away this morning aged 88.
    Before my time but 180 goals in 284 games!!!
    Bloke is a hoops legend, a true one
    Condolences to his family and friends.
    Some record that, well played sir.....

    Rip. Must have been a hell of a goalscorer in his day.
    A real legend.

      Just read on the official site he played six seasons and scored at least 25 goals every season!!!!

        Yes sad news & saw play & was a top goal scorer, great header of the ball but not so good with his feet, saw him score him get a few hatricks & best one was against Luton & win 7-1 both him & keen hit 3 each, RIP Brian

                    i saw my first game in the mid 50s so remember him in the 60s- a good header of the ball and decent f ox in the box but limited skill.-bit like Ted Macdougall- BUT NO Gerd Muller!!!

                      Before my time, but that is one hell of a record to have.
                      great heading ability , but would have struggled in last season’s side with a lack of crosses.
