A fitting end to a truly abysmal performance, I thought Chairs penalty was a shocker, however Barbet topped it with one of the worst penalties I have seen.

Rangers deserved nothing and I’m sorry to say Warburton is to blame, he set us up with 1 midfielder in a bizzare 5-1-2-2 formation, this system nullifys your 2 creative players in Chair and Willock, Chair dropping to deep and Willock totally out of the game, all this to accommodate 2 up front, who were both #### poor.

I think Warburton is setting up the team in the wrong formation and not sure we will beat anyone ATM.

Sunderland to be honest looked a Division 1 team and should have been blown away, however FairPlay to them as they had a decent go at us, they know our defence is a mess, 2 poor wing backs and 3 of the slowest centre backs you will see.
Not sure our goal was offside as people watching live feeds said it was a poor decision.
We are now very predictable, #### around at the back then lose the ball.
MOTM. Virtually impossible to give any player this accolade, maybe Amos who had decent game until he tired.

Warburton need to think long and hard about the formation, clearly his 5 at the back and a 1 man midfield clearly does not work.

I think the bread man is going stale.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

Starting a lad who has scored 5 goals in his last 5 matches as a centre midfielder and not further up the pitch was insane. He's our most creative player but he spent the first hour on the half way line. Willock was anonymous. Showed no interest for the 65 mins he was on the pitch. He looked like he was still sulking after being dropped at the weekend.

It's early days, but it looks clear to me there are problems behind the scenes. Those last 2 penalties tonight were some of the worst I've ever seen. The manager must listen and change the system now. It's not working as good as it was.

Also, as I said recently the owners must step up and insist on bringing in a quality defensive coach ASAP. Clean sheet tonight but it's still a major problem. I don't think Warburton is interested in doing anything about it our defence.

It's going to be very interesting to see what happens leading up to the January transfer window. Getting Wallace and Field back will help. But reinforcements are needed in January.

Warburton needs to be more flexible in his approach to setting up the team. As I said at the weekend if the owners insist on bringing in a specialist defensive coach and the manager does not agree with the decision. I would remove Warburton.

This football club just doesn't want to give us any enjoyment. At least I can remember the team of the 90's but my god do I feel sorry for our younger fans as this is completely unacceptable. If Sunderland get spurs away then ffs what a joke. Mark Warburton should go back into finance because football management isn't one of his Forte's
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

              I've just watched the highlights.
what a shocking decision for the disalowed goal.
not saying that we deserved to win it but we should have because that goal should have stood.

Seen it a few more times and I have to admit its onside. Thought it was offside last night but it was a poor decision alright. Doesn't cloud over the fact we deserved to get beat over 90 mins. For a team in a league above we didn't show it.

There was a lack of intensity to our play especially in the first half where we just expected Sunderland to roll over and allow us to play around them. None of our back 3 had a second on the ball and we struggled to get in behind them all night.

Chair is wasted playing centre mid. Terrible decision to put him there especially when we have dozzell and johanssen who are our specialists in that area. Instead we shoved a forward into the middle of the pitch and left amos marking 2 or 3 men when Sunderland broke forward.

Gray looked well off the pace and continues to look overweight. Austin waddled onto the pitch and looks like hes carrying a few extra pounds he didn't have last year. These lads are professional sportsmen but seem to be carrying excess weight which is astounding in the todays game.

Like Marc Bircham said in an interview, every time we have a chance to achieve something, we #### it up.

We did win the game but had it taken away by a decision that wasn't even a close call.
That goal stands and most of the negative comments about Warburton and the system etc wouldn't be made, not saying some are not justified but fine lines and all that.

We didn't win the game. We had a goal disallowed because the official made a split second decision that he got wrong. You are right and it is indeed fine lines but let's not forget that we were playing against a league 1 team, not a premiership side who we were trying to scrape a win against. We didn't dominate the game in any area of the pitch and they looked like scoring more than we did.

i don't think it was as bad as a lot of the comments on here - they were busy and had chances but only had 3 shots on target all game - the same as us - it was a shocking decision to disallow firstly the goal and secondly the blatant save by the defender from alberts original shot.

                      my criticisms are.

                      1. Kakay - so so bad last night and could have been taken off after 15 mins when it was clear he had no idea what he was doing - out of position defensively and un passable to in attack

                      2. we do not have any variation in attack - gray for austen is like for like - old and knackered - Austen at least offers a bit of fight and spirit - we need Bonne back or invest in a quick fox in the box type strike.

                      3. Dickie - can someone test him and check its the same bloke who started the season -currently the weak link in the back 3 - so ponderous.

                      4. Willock - ditto - and i am not sure we can play him and chair in the same team if we stick to this formation - chair our in form player had to play so deep or wide to accommodate willock who was so out of form last night.

                      5. Warburton - So predictable with his subs last night 60 mins a striker ....etc etc Amos for Dozzell - like for like

so typically rangers that we beat the likes of everton and get perhaps on paper the easiest of draws and then blow it.

I slept on it and came on here to rant but you guys have summed it up. I walked out of Ellerslie f'ing and jeffing about Warbs mistakes and time to go and maybe the latter is a little too early but the football is shocking. Fulham, P'Boro and last night. Chair, our number 10 playing as a number 6 completely ineffective. Did anyone else count how many times Chair back passed to DIENG? I'll tell you, 6 times!!!

Agree with you on all that apart from kakay. He's not a good footballer at all but he put 3 or 4 crosses in the box last night and we could scored from at least 2 of them.

He has no awareness at all for a full back which is something that is usually coached into them and that reflects badly on us seeing that he's come through our system. I still think there is a place for him as a right sided centre back in a back 3.

He is OK when the play is in front of him, it's when he pushes forward and doesn't drop back quick enough is the main problem. He just reacts too late which again is something that he should have learned when he was a youngster.

Dickie is fast becoming our biggest problem defensively. Every team we play are going after him. He doesn't help himself sometimes by overplaying and then getting dispossessed. Neither of barbet or dewijs seem to have this problem so is he just having a bad patch of form or does he need a couple of games off to press reset?
