I used to live in Pembrokeshire, which is known as 'Little England upon Wales'. If I turned up in Treorchey I'd get a shed load of abuse about whether I'm proper Welsh!

I've been living in Swindon now longer than I was in Wales, and I tend to shelve my new wurzel accent and put on a thick Welsh one when I go back these days.

I'm from Haverfordwest so spent a lot of time down Tenby and Saundersfoot back in the day chasing girls on holiday!! Happy memories of the caravan parks in the area!!

Treorchy is right in the Valleys and a former mining town. Their male voice choir is pretty famous and there would have been a massive depression there when the mines closed. I'm surprised anyone is allowed to support anything other than rugby or Cardiff City in that area.
