  • Policing at QPR

Apparently it's the club that refuses to hold away fans in the ground after a game not the OB but why escort them along the Uxbridge Road when SAR is already closed, surely if the plod want to hold them they could do it on SAR until the home fans have gone and then escort them to White City and/or Wood Lane.

Totally agree , it makes no sense marching them down a busy Uxbridge road on a Saturday afternoon full of families and shoppers .It would seem less troublesome to herd them down SAR to white City station.

Why Millwall are not being kept in is another mystery, Rangers have never done it, I do not know why.

With regards to policing, it’s because the plod do not have a clue what they are doing. WTF they are escorting them down Uxbridge Rd is bonkers.

For donkeys years, hundreds of yards of barriers would be placed along SAR on the opposite side from the ground, the plod would walk opposition fans at the end of the game directly across SAR and then turn right behind the barriers, then down the road on that pavement towards White City tube and or the coach parks, the barriers went to about the artificial pitches, yes, there was bother, lots of it, but it is a lot shorter walk to the tube that way.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

Hello after year's of reading this forum i thought id take the plunge and sign up. I was at the game on Saturday with my 19 year old son and afterwards we was right opposite the white horse on Uxbridge Road bit of banter between us and them then bottle's thrown at the r's fan's little bit of fisty cuffs. Just one copper there im pretty sure that they want it to kick off gives them an excuse to steam in. They know what Millwall are like could easily avoid it by holding them in for half-hour. Anyway onwards and upwards you R's

Why can't the club cut Millwall's ticket allocation to 1800 tickets only and only give them the upper tier.

I personally think that is easier for the police and stewards to manage.

We have done it before, so I wouldn't be shocked if that happens again given what happened in Saturday.

Because the club lose money in ticket sales when money is desperately needed , the police should be able to put a plan in place that keep innocent fans safe regardless of how many tickets we sell .

Been reading lfw where a fellow supporter's child is attacked and the brother tries to help and the bill nick him.
I have no time for the police since the pandemic, and there are alot of others who feel the same.
They will pay for their selective law enforcement in the future, imo

Wouldn’t want to get the fella in any kind of trouble but fair play to him , he weren’t taking any prisoners.

don't forget the massive overtime the police will be paid, it is in their interest for some hoo ha , otherwise if no arrests, trouble= no overtime, if millwall is so great, why are we held bacl in that caged area for near an hour every time we go there, bar when station was closed due to a "incident" and they did let us out nearer home end. let them out, into SAR and with walls of police, vans slowly march them up SAR, it would give those qpr fans who want away to do so. qpr should stuff the few quid, allow 1000 millwall in, club members, season ticket holders , like we did v mighty leeds a few years back. if they do the same to us, ok
