The youngsters we have who are keen and slightly less long in the tooth than Bonne, who rightly has opted for first team football. Takes courage, but also great desire to play football to drop down a league. We’ll be fine as we have goals across the team and look after the rolls Royce well. last season with us is probably the longest run he’s had without injury. Folk are getting over excited and expecting the world. Squad is great, but if we’re as unlucky with injuries this season as we were lucky last, then it could be a deflating season for some. They’ll all be back on here moaning before long. Staff from top to bottom are doing a great job. We’re a proper outfit with proper potential stars coming through. Just on that, Bettache had a different attitude in his cameo the other day. He’s got ability, but has always looked like a rabbit in the headlights when played. The other day he looked like a player scared of being squeezed and was trying to prove a point in his 15 mins. He pulled the game back in our favour with some great runs and started to take the game by the scruff. If that continues that’s another reason to be optimistic, whilst keeping your feet on the ever ( but exciting) unsteady ground. U Rrrss

Yup. We can put together a starting 11 who can be real contenders, but a couple of injuries to key players and we could be feeling a bit deflated. On the other hand a lack of great players past the starting 11 is a problem most of the championship has so I am still optimistic. Not many have massive quality waiting to step in like prem clubs have, most of the championship is in the same boat us us except maybe 5,6,7 clubs including the recently relegated ones who can afford to keep deeper squads.

We have to stick behind the team no matter what this season, it could mean getting those extra points.

Remember we still have loan signings if we wanted?

Agree about keeping feet on ground but aside from making the four loan signings permanent where we have made real progress IMHO this close season is getting much more depth into the squad. Obvs we can't replace Deng, Dickie, Stef, Charlie etc with someone of equal quality but we now have decent alternatives in every single position and in lots of positions (wing backs, midfield especially) we have real competition. Depending on injuries/ who we send on loan we will even have stiff competition to get on the bench- which is great progress.
