    Eze

Eberechi Ezi has suffered a serious Achilles injury that could rule him out well into next season. Occurred in training & 22yo Crystal Palace player seeing specialist to ascertain extent of damage

Ouch feel for him even tho not our player

Disappointing for him and us , he’s had a good first season at that level and with us having a good sell on clause the sooner he gets fit the better.

Wages mentioned in this site caused raised eyebrows in respect of Palace's wage bill. Click on Palace to see their players' individual wages.... seems Eze is one of their paupers - reckon they'll need to up his money significantly or he'll be moving on within 12 months and our sell-on dividend will be coming our way.

If you think Eze is a pauper at Palace look at how much Smith-Rowe and Saka are getting at Arsenal. They must be due a massive pay rise in the near future.

              £1.5m per annum at 20 = pauper!

Yes, I know everything is relative but...........

Just heard on Talksport from Andros Townsend that Eze got a text the day of the injury from England saying he would have been in the England squad.. poor lad

The preliminary England squad, he had very low chance of making the final cut but yes awful timing and sad for him nonetheless.

If he made an England appearance it might have triggered another payment to us?

Wish him well and if he continues to develop he will get his chance on the international stage.

Shame about missing out on meeting up in the provisional squad , although yes, I agree he would not have made the 23 unless others got injured.

It goes to show how impressive he has been this season at Palace, and is a pity that he has this awful injury now. Hopefully he will make a full and speedy recovery and who knows, might make the next World Cup squad instead.
