Er....I've never said I would be a better DoF than Les Ferdinand - but that doesn't make him any good at the job does it? As one of the few Championship clubs with a DoF we should expect he is doing the job and scouting world football for young up and coming players and manager candidates just like other clubs do. That's what he gets paid for isn't it?

How do you know he isn’t , we’ve had the up and coming manager in JFH , it didn’t work , we’ve tried the experienced ex England manager in McLaren it didn’t work . We are not an attractive proposition for out of work managers like Howe , Pearson etc . due to budget restraints . I hear Paul Cook being mentioned but people tend to forget he was fighting relegation at Wigan on a decent budget .

I’m not keen on cook imo they had a decent spine to their squad kipre kieffer Moore and I can’t temper the cm they had would of got in our side last season

I didn’t say he isn’t doing so....although there’s zero evidence from his tenure as DOF that he is.... I said we should expect a DOF is looking at player and manager talent from around the world.

He will have better options from clubs across Europe, Asia etc. He wouldnt mess about with us for £5k a week. I doubt hed work for less than £2m a year.
