  • Josh Bowler

We sold this lad to Everton in 2017 for £1.5m and has played for Hull on loan this season making 28 appearance.

With Hull relegated and Bowler now a free agent this summer, following the end his 3 yr contract at Everton, I would be keen to bring the lad back. He plays as a right winger and would be an ideal replacement for BOS.

Selling one winger for £4.7m and bringing in a replacement on a free transfer, who could be sold again for good money in a few years makes sense to me.

He turned 21 yrs this March.

Did he do anything whilst at Hull to suggest he is good enough to replace BOS?

One goal and no assists in 28 appearances.

His career has not progressed since leaving us for the bright lights of the Premier League. But there is talent there or Everton wouldnt have signed him and Hull wouldnt have let him play 28 times this season. At 21yrs old and a free transfer its surely worth a punt. Look how BOS improved under MW and I'm sure he could bring his lad on too.

Just a thought based on the fact we need 7-8 new faces and need players we can sell on later. We made a few shillings off him once already!

Didn't he sign a new contract last summer?
(as in why hull would need to shell out £5m for him)

Thats the expiry date for his loan spell. For some reason that website doesn't show loan and parent club contracts side by side.

If you go further down on that page you'll note his Ev deal is up next summer.

That's odd because all the articles I've read say he signed a three year contract with Everton when he left us in 2017

                          Great research.

So we'll get him for free next summer after we've sold Shopido for £5m

Better off signing Marcus Maddison scores 50 odd league goals wand of a left foot and assists in double figure goals out of contract puts a decent ball in the box
