Yes this is true, it's just a shame that Championship clubs only get a fraction of what PL clubs do (I think I read it was £75k compared to the £3m ).
Home side gets £100,000 . This increases to £120,000 for Sundays and £140,000 for Thursdays. The visiting team only gets £10,000. Sky are contracted to show two home games for each club. So for Reading and Birmingham we will only get £20,000.
