Big Matt Smith joins Millwall (all but done)

Looks pretty much done. Reasonable goal scorer & Under Holloway, Smith’s goals kept us up
    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
    And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Good luck to him, but he is not allowed to score against us, I say.

of all the players we are letting go i t think this one is the biggest mistake - yes he wouldn't be a starter but he scores vital goals for us and changes the way the opposition think.

i hope we have someone decent in line to replace him

I’d say he was on a decent wage as Millwall said he was on to much for them when they inquired in January. Now they’ve lost Gregory and Morrison they can probably afford him .Good plan b as people say but if he’s hardly getting a game it makes sense to move him on and free up his wage for another striker.

Think this is a poor decision as things stand.

very underrated on this site and a very handy striker to have in the team when your fighting relegation like we are.

happy with the business done so far by the new gaffer but as things stand we have lost our three striking options from last year and we have no senior striker.

Matt Smith offered a different dimension to QPR and I hope this decision doesn’t come back to haunt us.

Maybe best to wait to see who comes in up front before we criticise club for this move .

That’s why I have stated in the first line ‘as things stand’.

Whether we bring hogan in or another loan player we will be very short up top.
Smith is a asset imo to any team scrapping around in the bottom half of the championship and does offer the chance to mix things up if the tips tap football doesn’t work.
