  • Fan's Inconsistency

Our fanbase really is hilarious at times. One minute hes John 'Useless', the next he should be considered for the managers job. He's won one game of football and all of a sudden he could be 'the next big thing' and considered for one of the toughest jobs in English football. Angel Rangel shows a bit of passion and should come in as Eustace No.2 in a player-manager role... where is this coming from? By all means the performance against Swansea was great, but for once as fans can we not be so knee-jerk and have some patience? Eustace is a care-taker, simple as that. Same goes for the Rui Almeida rumours - Norwich and Huddersfield have had success in hiring Borussia Dortmund II's head coaches in Daniel Farke and David Wagner. What makes us think that by hiring this manager from abroad we will do the same? This is a manager that has shown little success in his career so far, bar a few wins at FC Troyes in the French 2nd division. It looks like the club are taking a sensible approach for the first time in years, interviewing multiple and several different types of manager (abroad, young, experienced) in search of a long-term solution. Can we please show some patience for once and not call for someone to be put in charge after 1 win at the helm?

It's the same situation with our young players. Lumley and Eze in particular are slated for having a bad game, but are then hailed after a good performance. Ebere has actually disabled comments on his social media posts due to the amount of abuse he was receiving from our fans. What does that say about our football club? This is not a player that we have spent £5m on and are paying 40k a week, its a player coming through the ranks that has shown great potential. Give these players a break... they are young players trying to develop and improve, they wont play like world-beaters every game.

This is not a post slating all our fans, its just a call for some patience. The past few seasons have been infuriating and unbelievably frustrating to say the least. The decision making from above has been unacceptable and Fernandes and co have been rightly criticised. Players such as Lynch and Cousins that have put in sub-standard performances are also deservedly criticised. As fans we deserve to have a say on the club that we invest so much time/money into but lets try and be patient and understand the situation the club finds itself in. FFP means we cant spend, we are in a situation where we are reliant on youth. Lets get behind the kids and encourage them, some of them will make it and some of them wont but thats football.

Everything you say is spot on mate.
When we lose there are hoards on here complaining but not many when we do well.

Just look at the posts after Norwich and after Swansea.

            Patience and help the youngsters

To be fair, I reckon most football fans are like that. But I see what you mean.

Football is a game of emotion and can cause people to react in different ways. Get used to it and deal with it..

Not rocket science, but it basically comes down to the players. McLaren plays Tomer, to fans' disbelief and anger, he's rubbish, we lose (and McLaren gets the sack), 2 weeks later Tomer's getting a standing ovation! Maybe it's the fact that a lot of our players are good enough for this division, but only just and it's a fine line. So they always have to be at 100% just to compete. If they are slightly off their game, they look out of their depth - just look at the differences between a good performance from guys like Scowen, Cousins and Lynch, and one of their all too frequent shockers.
