How much influence do fans have?

Outside of the Prem supporters do have an influence.

Even in the Prem they do for reasons others have cited above.

Possibly true as the TV money is shared between 72 clubs isn't it ? Our gate receipts are probably about £5m a season and we would get nowhere near that from the TV dough.

The clubs receive a basic amount then appearance money on top.

Fans have virtually no influence, as someone say football is now governed by TV revenue, but the only influence fans have is not to go and don't buy the merchandise, because without the fans atmosphere at games there's nothing, even TV companies would hate it commentating without any sort of atmosphere in grounds, So if fans want to have influence the only way is to not go and not by the merchandise , reclaim the game so to speak

We’ve always had a hardcore support of 12-14k. Midweek, on the tv, football hasn’t been great etc etc. Easy to understand the crowds are a bit down atm. We don’t need a new ground to “fill it”. We need a new ground so that we can make money 365 days a year and not once ever other week for 9 months. That’s how we’re going to ultimately progress as a football club. All this we won’t fill it etc etc is irrelevant.

I'm sure a lot of parents would have brought their kids if it wasn't midweek, sky and Millwall. Especially after what they did a few years ago.

Spot on. Generating revenue from more streams than just football is the way to grow the club.
