It was never about the capacity. It has always been about the running costs and the infrastructure.

New stadiums are old news. We live in a time where the real revenue is vested in media rights. Acquiring the benefit of which should be the sole aim of anyone running a championship football club.

That’s not true. Atletico Madrid and Spurs are two recent massive examples. Camp Nou and Bernabau are being upgraded too.

You're not comparing like with like. They both have much larger fanbases than us, obviously. Even then it doesn't always work out. Sunderland have a larger fanbase, but since they changed to the Stadium of Darkness things haven't exactly panned out..... they have an awful record there vs Roker Park.

In the last couple of weeks EPL clubs have said that they could play in empty stadiums without it significantly impacting on income projections. Cubs with fanbases like ours - very, very small -
would be far better advised to concentrate on the job in hand. with the aim of increasing their share of rights money.That's the real world these days.

Agree and disagree. Prom clubs can cope but clubs outside the prem money can’t. That’s where we need lower running costs and more income than 23 games of a season.

Had a thought, and it did hurt. I am not 100% up to date with OOC and if it is 'officially' off the table but do you think that QPR are basically saying to the council, if you don't want us to regenerate the area then we'll go elsewhere. Basically like a players agent saying that a bigger club want the player, so that they get a new contract. Or is that wishful thinking?
