I actually think we'll see a lot of this over the next few seasons. Too many Championship owners have been following the Tony Fernandes & Phil Beard school of Chairmanship. Running their clubs with overheads that require Premier League football to be sustainable. Unfortunately for them there are more than 30 clubs fighting for 20 spots in the top flight.

The good news for us is that we were 3 or 4 years ahead of the curve on this. Whilst all these other sides are in bother now (or will be soon), we've already had a knuckles wrapped, made the necessary adjustments, and are coming through the other side of it all.

2. FFP is only good news to Chelscum, City and all those rich clubs. It means that smaller clubs are not allowed to challenge by investment from Rich Owners.

The rules are simply designed to keep small clubs down and to keep the 'top'clubs where they are. It is a complete misnomer that it protects us from overstretching small clubs. If that were the case, imposing rules that any investment is allowed as long as the owners provide it as hard cash, not loans and with proof of funds.

FFP is ###### and will continue to keep us down in our natural position somewhere between the 2nd and 3rd tier of the English League...

all rich owners who want to spend big should have it written down legally that the risk is 100% theirs and not the club's.

This way all smaller clubs with the financial backing can rise up and challenge.

Granted, but the fine is only half the battle. Making the necessary adjustments to operate within their means as a Championship side will be close to impossible for a club like Villa I suspect!

Maybe Rowett saw it coming and decided to jump ship, knowing he wasn't going to have any money and have to cut back, and it was his decision to leave

If an owner comes in and splashes £100m on players in the championship, doesn't get promotion and clears off that end season, who's picking up the wage bill for the next few seasons for those players?

The people he sells the club to who would be aware of the wage bill requirements when doing the legal due dilegence. The selling price would reflect those outgoings. Or, the club could go into administration and the club sold with creditors accepted approximately 10p for every £1 of debt. Then the cycle starts again....
