If Forest thought Holt could be successful at this level they would never have let him go. As for Macken 26 goals in his last 137 matches is a poor poor return.

Macken is 32 same age as Cousin.

I hope we sign Cousin, Kitson and Jackson. Two target men and two (if you include Simpson) shorter speedy types. Which would be a fantastic striking quartet. Jackson wouldn't expect first team football and could be given time to settle (like Cox has at WBA) whilst Cousin and Kitson battle to start alongside Simpson.

Having all options gives us quality off the bench and quality on the pitch if we need to play three upfront chasing a game.

i think Holt would be a good signing,very physical,good link up play as he has set up loads of goals this season as well as scoring 22 in 29 games. i no his record at forest wasnt great,wasnt bad either. lets face it we aint gonna be paying out loads of £ on fees & wages kitson would appear to want,& jackson is to similar to simpson so would rather have jay for the season loan & hopefully sign him on a perm in summer,if thats out of our reach then jackson would be a good option instead.

Holt yes maybe but please not Macken, we're better off with what we got and use the money on a full back.
