Can Faye and Quashie both play in the same side?

Lots of people are saying that these signings are done deals but does anyone actually think they can play in the same side.

Mahon and Leigertwood received plenty of criticism when they were played in the centre together and in terms of style Quashie and Faye are quite similar. Neither are natural holding midfielders and neither are attacking midfielders. They both break up play and make short passes but neither have the pace or skill of a Makele or an Engelaar so can they play together in the same side?

If not why sign both? Where does this leave Faurlin and Leigertwood if we sign both? Who would become captain if Leigertwood is dropped? There is no sign as yet that Hart will drop Leigertwood or play him at right back so why do we need to sign both players? Surely we can save the money and spend it on Kitson instead?

I am very concerned that Faurlin is going to make way for anybody let alone two loanees.

Our best midfield pairing IMO is Faurlin and Mahon. Our best midfielder is Faurlin, why is it the only people that can see this is the fans?

maybe the 2 (apperent signings) are as cover, one to play alonside Fraulin the other as cover

a bit like signing Watson & Reid
