For the last few years i've heard from a cetain person that if we're in the mix in january we're really going to go for it.......

Well this signing is certain going to put fear into our rivals can hardly contain my delight!!

As a few other posters have stated, this just about sums up the level of our ambitions for the remainder of the season.

Not one to get the crowd excited but if we've got him on a free I don't actually think he is that bad a signing. Our squad is so devoid of players with a bit of bottle who will get stuck in a shout a bit, I actually think Quashie might add something to the team!

Yes - relegation season. Scored a screamer v Chelsea in the Cup game before Allen missed the penalty. Even Gullit applauded.

He's still an unneccessary signing. We have depth in central midfield but we don't upfront. So what do we do we sign yet another central midfield but don't put right which is a lack of strikers.

Yes it's only January 4th and we may still sign a striker and some full backs but why are we going after players like Webber and Quashie rather than just signing Kitson?

I think most would rather see us spend money (wages and fee) on one quality striker than two not good enough players.

Kind of what I was trying to say... not a bad player, but....... etc...

All depends on the type of spin employed and how you want to employ it to meet the need.

I don't think he will be a bad signing if it happens, we've had a lot worse over the past few seasons and he's solid enough for this league. I will add i'll be ****ed off if it's not a short term contract.
