Utterly mystified by running of our club

A vicious circle unlikely to ever be broken until the board decides to go into a season spending whatever it takes for our club to launch an immediate, effective, push for promotion out of this division.
Won't happen now, but preparations for 2010/11 season must be realistic, and the planning needs to start now.Comment

Ah, but then in the close season we will be told "there is always the Jan transfer window" and so we have ground hog day at shepherds bush.
No one has answered the point of this post, BTW, which is to find out how the club possibly ever expected to sign Kitson without spending any money.Comment

All the players we'll get will be loan until the end of the season, which gives the board time to access the situation and to plan for the next season...Ah, but then in the close season we will be told "there is always the Jan transfer window" and so we have ground hog day at shepherds bush.

Maybe they are being more realistic than you all think, maybe they know that this season is over so they are merly just seeing it out (hence why hart has been appointed). The board haven't done anything concrete for a while now so it makes me believe that this season is over, lets plan for the next one and the next new manager.
Is that a bad thing? Not really, I would rather wait another year before being promoted anyway and have some stability... next season they could really go for it!Comment

So...........
Exactly the same as 2007/2008 and 2008/2009......
The circus has to end soon.Comment

Ah, but Nodge, let's not forget it took Fayed what was it 3 and a half years to get to the premier league and they had several managers during that time.
So, in fact they only managed 2 promotions and a 4 fold increase in gates during those 3 and a half years.
We have only had Flavio for 2 and a bit years and during that time we have got a new big screen, better hot dogs, some nice new seats, massively increased season ticket prices and falling gates...
Thank God we got bought by the successful business men with the track record of running successful sporting teams, rather than the middle eastern shop keeper with a record of providing a good product and customer satisfaction.....A message to the other Premier League clubs when they visit Loftus Road.....

The last sentence - do you really believe that Olly? All the players we'll get will be loan until the end of the season, which gives the board time to access the situation and to plan for the next season...

Not forgetting the gold toilet......see, now that's CLASS. Beats the chandeliers hands down

They are where they are because they have had a period of stability! Davies has been left to MANAGE. They haven't been out and spent mega millions. Yeah they have brought a few in but we still have better players and a stronger squad. Everyone b1tched about Blackstock and many on here wrote him off and banged on the door for him to be outed, probably the same people who applaud AGYEMANG and LEIGERTWOOD - two of the worst players to donn a QPR shirt IMO. How will we ever progress if we have a new manager every six months. When a different manager comes in they change the side, they have different ideas, styles of play etc. Just as players start to bed in somethings changes within the club which rocks our spin! That's our problem my friend. We were where Forest are just over a month ago pre the Leicester game. The league is a marathon and not a sprint.Look at Forest. They were **** last year, worse than us. They got in a proven manager and proven Championship players (even our own Mr.Blackstock). Where are they now, oh yes they're 3rd , and 2 points off the automatic places.
They spent money. They are reaping the benefits.
We have signed better players on loan than those they have brought in. We just haven't addressed the areas that really need strengthening. We have over 10 midfielders in our squad of 24 and yet we have a manager who then chose to play 2 defenders in midfield at home to Bristol City!Last edited by Dazzer1977; 04-01-2010, 02:01 PM.Comment

yet again pete makes himself look stupid by trying to defend the undefendableComment

Wrong Pete.
Abramovich took over and after one year of 'failure' by Ranieri he was sacked and replaced by Mourinho who won the league at the first attempt.
Abramovich takeover in June 2003 and by May 2005 then had gone from 4th place and never looking like overtaking Arsenal or Manchester United to winning the league in the 2nd year of the Abramovich takeover.Comment

I'm only looking at it now realistically, we are where we are, we have hart until May, the players coming in I would think are just loans (just to get us out of trouble and steady the ship), so if we finish top half that would be ok.
Also you can't really blame the board for the Magilton incident as that was unforseen and unpresidented, no one would had know that a manager would attack or assault a player. If you asked them, they are probably just as disappointed as we are.
Honestly, if we can hold out and add during the warmer months then I think we can really go for it, but they must get the appoint right this time round.Comment

agree you can't blame the board for sacking magilton (tho if you are criticical you might blame them for appointing him...) but read scott's post -there is no money to buy players. attendances etc are only going to go down now, so how will we be in a better position to strengthen the squad in the summer?Comment
