I think if we aren't in the play off places come January, the board will be more reluctant to dip their hands in their pockets.
The problem is not the amount of points between us and a play off spot, it's the number of TEAMS.

Getting into the play-off positions doesn't really mean that much in January, especially when only around 6 points separates 4th to 14th place.

Still, if QPR can get into the top 6 soon, I wouldn't mind.

Doesn't everyone aim for top 6? I think he has to say that to keep people happy, it would be cynical of him to say he want's to finish mid table..... especially after all the money and investment that has gone into the club through sponsors and backers....
