I reckon Bernie is on the right track. I remember when Tommy Doc (I think it was him) said when Goddard & Allen were sold that the feeling within the club is that we have 2 players coming through who would be as good. One I'm pretty sure was Wayne Fereday and I forget the other (which in itself means whoever it was wasn't all that).

My guess? Buzz to go in Jan, 2 significantly less talented players than Bale and Taraabt to sign.

said the same earlier, I love Buz to pieces but I would give Buz plus £3m for taarabt. Different class to any player in this league IMO.

Potentially different class, but not at the moment. He needs to learn a few things first like when to pass and when to go for glory, that the team is more important than the individual.

As good a player as he is, his selfishness could end up costing us more points than we get from his goals.... How many games have there been where we've drawn or lost, when he could have squared a pass for someone else to tap into an empty net, but instead shoots from a stupid angle??

If and when he sorts that side of his game he could become something really special, until then, he's as much a liability for me as he is s genius.

As for this topic, it's yet another completely pointless thread as Spurs would never want Buz, and if they did, they wouldn't swap those 2 players for him..... If there ever was a deal on the cards then you would have to go with it.

Let's not forget, regardless of how good Bale is, he was on he scrap heap at the time of this thread, and good old 'Arry wasn't giving him the time of day. Forest were looking likely to get him, and I'm sure that if Bale wasn't in the squad through default, that one CCC club would have loaned him.

I think, if anything this just proves how well Bale has done since then. Forgotten one day, and a world beater the next.

Besides, you have been wrong on a fair few things yourself, as have we all. No one is an oracle, so I don't see why Pete should stop. It's down to the reader whether or not they want to believe it. I've known Pete for a long time, and I just choose not to listen. Easy really
