Billy Davies has lined up an ambitious double raid on Tottenham for Gareth Bale and Michael Dawson. Nottingham Forest boss Davies has been promised substantial funds by chairman Nigel Doughty for the New Year and has the two Spurs stars in his sights. Davies's No.1 target is Wales international Bale and Forest are ready to offer £3million to bring the 20-year-old to the City Ground. And former Forest defender Dawson, 26, is wanted on loan for the rest of the season after losing his place at White Hart Lane. He came through Forest's Academy and spent five years in the first team before a £4m move to Spurs in 2005.

Hyperthetically speaking I think Taarabt and Bentley from Spurs would probably cost us £15 million for the pair....maybe more Bentley did cost Spurs a few bob.

Benely will go to another club in the premiership, doubt Dawson will go anywhere, if Bale did go to the championship, would hope we could beat Forest to his signature.
