What is:

Cost of Alberti + Cost of Borrowdale + Salary of Alberti + Salary of Borrowdale + Salary of Di Carmine + Salary of Tomassi + Salary of Parejo + Salary of Ledesma + Salary of Miller + Severance Pay of Dowie + Severance Pay of Sousa (if there is one) + Cost of Chandeliers = ???

Surely this figure is higher than the difference between what we were prepared to pay Crystal Palace (£1.25m) for Ben Watson and what they actually wanted (£2m)?

He isn't needed and never was. He was bought at the back end of last season when players like Commons, Hoolahan & Campbell-Ryce would have been better for the club.
