Why will the club not buy a recognised striker?

This has been going on for too long, and it prompts me to think as to whether flav's got something to do with it, as he did say when they took over, that they wouldn't be buying players that were doing the rounds in the CCC. Any other reasons anyone can think of?

god knows!,maybe owners like to do things the hard way, remember 4 year plan for promotion, maybe they dont feel we are ready yet,so wont give us the decent striker who could get us promoted next year.

Come on Pete.....let's not be silly!!!!

Are you telling me if the option had been there, you wouldn't have played and out and out centre forward in place of one of our 3 central midfielders against Doncaster on Saturday?!!!

Unfortunately in Pete's eyes he has Tarrabt down as a 15+ a season striker.
Then again this is from a guy who thought Blackstock was a decent centre forward so u can see where his low expectations stand.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Pete, there are some games, i.e. Doncaster where a 4-4-2 would be better, but also , what happens when JM wants to bring on a sub forward to replace Simpson?

On Saturday he was able to bring Agyemang and Pellicori on. And they produced sweet f.a.

Agyemang, is only good when coming on when the team is winning i.e last season at home to Southampton and Reading this season.

Pellicori, from what little I have seen of him, is far too slow and immobile to really cause any real danger, even less so when playing as a lone striker or alongside an inneffective striker i.e Agyemang.

QPR need at least one other decent striker, so that they at least have someoe useful to bring on when games are going in their favour. Failing that, recall Helguson, if only to stop him scoring for Watford and stopping them from overtaking QPR.

or if Portsmouth (or another PL club) offer Arsenal £3M to buy him in January?

see where your coming from, but 3 of those players are "midfielders" you can't compare midfielders against strikers

at the end of the day we are extremely short of quality strikers and playing midfielders up front is OK now & then or when, like us we haven't got anyone who could play up top with Simpson

for the umpteenth time we desperately need a quality striker which will cost anything between £3M-£5M a small price to pay to get us up i think

why we haven't got one yet, well that's obvious, they cost too much & as seen by everyone now, we don't / won't splash out where it is needed, that's why we have so many loan players, needs to be sorted in January or as i keep saying, it'll be almost but not quit:devil:

Couldn't agree more with you,the lack of activity on thr striker front is doing my head in - what is it with this club/board ? Don't they want to get promoted? I value Pete's opinions and imput (he does share the same birthday as me) but he's far more patient than me and other Scorpios I know. He's right in saying we're scoring well (until recently) but I know of no other club, including those without our financial clout, that is so ill-equipped in the striker dept.and there seems no real reason for it.Rumours are rife about incomming strikers but nothing seems to be happening.WHAT THE HELL'S GOING ON ?????

As I said in my Plan B thread before the Doncaster game, we need another option if the opposition are shutting us down. We can't go for long balls as Simpson is not tall enough, plus we can't use the wide players as out and out wingers as we have no one to win the ball in the area. We need another decent forward.

I think every sane QPR fan realises that at this stage, but do our owners, and note the word "decent".

29 goals so far this season

Only WBA and Cardiff have scored more.
