    for starters

its a problem postion for england

we (england( have players injured in that postion

was it just a coincidence fabio was there at the leicester match?

make no bones about it routledge has the potential, fabio is top to bottom, he would be stupid to not look at players outside the prem

sven even scouted the leagues beneath the prem so its not beyond the realms of reality

Matthew Connolly undoubtedly has the potential IMO.

In all honesty at the moment probably none would get into the England side BUT if we got to play premiership football next season players like Matty C, Wayne R and Tom H (if we managed to acquire his services again) these could all potentially step up a bit and become squad palyers. You never really know anyone could suddenly turn on the style and become nationally recognised. Jimmy Bullard springs to mind as someone who just suddenly appeared in the squad.

As I said, Lennon, SWP, Milner, Walcott and Young are just 5 reason that Routledge will NEVER play for England. It's complete nonsense to think otherwise. Stevie G, Joe Cole and now Jack Wilshire have the abilty to play anywhere accross the middle. I remember plenty saying the same about Lee Cook.

I'm a big fan of Routs, but he's yet to make it in the Prem at 2 attempts and some of you are touting him for a call up? Incredible.

Bullard has been an establised Prem player at 3 clubs now. Hecwas top class at Wigan and Fulham and now he's over his injury, he's looking back to his best at Hull.

Connolly and Heaton are the only ones with a chance of playign for England. However I doubt they will.

              Routledge, no chance.

Lee Cook before his injurey maybe could have got a call up, in the days of Downing playing

I couldn't see Routledge getting a call up but Connolly has the potential.

Doubt it, but then again if Lennon can play for England why not?

The only player we have who is good enough currently to play for England is Taarabt, and he isn't English.

Matt Connolly will be a very good player but I think Wenger would have kept him if he though the would turn out good enough. Hopefully he is one Wenger gets wrong!

                        Possibly Connolly.

I have posted this before,but....when he played in the Prem for Palarse only Henry,Lampard and Gerrard got more assists....that season (in a relagated team) also got him a move to Spurs, coupled with him playing for England at every level bar full cap shows he undoubtedly has the ability to certainly play in the Prem.
