In the short time he was with us I thought Ryan Nelsen was absolute quality.

Agreed, and he was another I had written down that I decided not to include on the list.

Nelsen, Remy, Townsend, Walker all fantastic here for half a season and deserve special mention (could even add cisse to that list really)

On Cisse - I know he gets a lot of credit for the goals that supposedly kept us up, but I went through his video compilation on YouTube and was amazed that only one was a winner (v Stoke). He scored in two other games that saw us pick up points - first v villa that led to a point and the equaliser in the comeback v Liverpool. Was quite surprised by that.

If we're talking about our promotion season I'd include Wayne Routledge.

I think Mackie provided us with some golden moments and gave his all. He deserves to be on the list, but not Rob Green. I'd keep Paddy Kenny but I think Smithies needs to be included. But isn't it a mite premature? IF we can hold to the like of Eze and Smyth, we might have a few more contenders at the end of next season.

Continual selection of wrong manager since first getting shot of Warnock
