      Oteh

I had not seen much of Oteh. He is one of several promising youngsters being used by IH. He only played in two or three games. Scored in one, however, never been called again. Now of the present strikers, I do like Matt Smith, when we play to his strengths. However, I do believe that this current formation can play a bit differently to hitting long balls for Smith. The likes of Smyth, Pawel, Freeman, Eze and Luongo, can play a bit. We are well placed now and I think it is about time to re-introduce Oteh as the main striker. It is so refreshing to watch the likes of Furlong, Manning, Eze and Smyth doing so well. A striker is our biggest problem and they won't come cheap. I assume he is the only striker coming through the U23, apart from Smyth.

atm i think we need to find the right balance up front as it's something we've lacked all season. i like what smith has brought to the team lately, he's always a threat up front and brings much needed height to the team as we have relatively short players, he's an asset when it comes to defending or attacking set pieces and 9/10 he wins his headers. he does a lot more up front than washo that's for sure. oteh simply hasn't been able to get into the side given eze and smyth's meteoric rise to our first team but it might be worth giving him some games up top with eze and smyth just to see how it plays out, the rest of our team is pretty much secure

Have to say it's a joy seeing the young fellas, and I'm very pleased to see Manning back in.
I thought he did really well 2nd half of last season

Goss was meant to be so bad today that he got subbed at half time.

Not sure where Oteh has gone to be honest, injured maybe? That being said, who would he replace in the current setup? He's got to go some way to replace Eze or Smyth imo. Would like to see him back though.

He showed a bit of something but, IMO, he looked raw compared to Eze, Smyth and BOS. Hopefully Ramsey is working with hin and we will see another gem soon enough

Maybe a loan spell in League 1 could do some good? Proper first team experience.

It seems to have worked for Eze so yeah, why not

I would have him replacing Smith. Like the guy he’s honest and has a role but he’s not a starter for me. Would happily see Oteh dipped in and alternated with Smith

Disagree. Smith is experienced and clever - plus our top scorer. Oteh is raw with potential. A loan to League 1 I think then see.

Top goal scorer with what 7???? That’s simply not good enough for your figure head. He’s not s finisher, did you see chance he missed yesterday and generally the volume of powder puff headers which float into keepers hands. Plus as demonstrated twice yesterday you cannot play ball through for him to get onto because he’s not athletic enough to get onto the end of them.

Imagine Oteh running through on those balls. Having pace and power down middle would totally transform us as a force going forwards. Smith has part to play but it’s not 90mins hence why would alternate with Oteh

Your right he probably does need loan to really cut his teeth but weather it’s him or someone else Big Smith is not answer
