That's bleeding half a century ago.... can't apply modern day manners retrospectively. It was only 30 years ago that black players had bananas chucked at them and a mere 10 years ago when stout players were called fat and accused of thieving pies. I'd just call it social history.
One thing, I can't see that leftie hand-wringers will ever let up or be satisfied, there'll always be something that will offend them, so with that in mind, I wonder what things we deem to be okay/normal in football today we'll look back on in 25 years and think crikey, that was a bit off wasn't it!?
