Sylla deserves to keep his place in the side, even after a poor game or one where he didn't score. He scored 2 in 2 then had a poor game at Forest and got dropped.
As for Wheeler, he has hardly had a fair chance has he? Up front on his own at Derby, is hardly a chance in his favoured position.
Truth is IH has his favourites (always did) and doesn't want to leave them out of the side if he can avoid it.
Agreed. I wouldn't start with him, but if I did, I would have 2 wingers putting crosses into the box for him to get his head to the ball.
The squad is set up for a 4-4-2, so that is what the manager should stick to.
If he wanted 3-5-2 he should have signed wing backs instead of Lua Lua, Wheeler and Bright, and perhaps moved Ngaboto and Wyszolek on. -
This business of posters calling out wingers and inside forwards is a total exaggeration Washington can do both unfortunately neither very well and so should others we've got I mean be able to play both , not not be able to do it very wellGordon Bennett Stan , glad we can agree on that at least you answer my posts so you've read them , I have been banging on that we should be playing 4-4-2 for years , people say we've got a right wing back in young furlong true but he's crap and no better than what Wzos is at it , Perch probably found his best form for us before he got injured , but who else is to play thereLast edited by dogsrrs; 06-12-2017, 07:19 PM.Leave a comment:

On the contrary most people can't understand why Wollie hasn't played players in their natural positions! Is daft beyond belief and costing us points and credibility.i keep seeing this over & over about playing players not in there correct positions, yet when ollies played them they havnt shone or took there chance by the scruff of the neck have they? wheelers one, then that other lad in his second game looked not upto speed, smith when played from the start wasnt shinning as much as coming on as a sub, sylla started looking decent but then has very quiet spells, but definately a goalscorer so...shodipos not long back from injury, same as cousins, pavs been off form as some have said probably to do with too much defensive work, yet hes got a great engine so...but everyones using the same old if we had players in there correct positions, but you can see why ollies not done so!

We know dogs, but he keeps playing them either in different positions or not at all.
We're half way through the season, he should know that by now.
Glad we can agree on that at least.Leave a comment:

Pinkie, Smith not pulling up trees when starting has nothing to do with him. Everything to do with the service he doesn't get from wingers because Holloway doesn't play them. No point at all in expecting him to do wonders each time Lynch just hoofs the ball up in his general direction.i keep seeing this over & over about playing players not in there correct positions, yet when ollies played them they havnt shone or took there chance by the scruff of the neck have they? wheelers one, then that other lad in his second game looked not upto speed, smith when played from the start wasnt shinning as much as coming on as a sub, sylla started looking decent but then has very quiet spells, but definately a goalscorer so...shodipos not long back from injury, same as cousins, pavs been off form as some have said probably to do with too much defensive work, yet hes got a great engine so...but everyones using the same old if we had players in there correct positions, but you can see why ollies not done so!Leave a comment:

Just play players in their right position in the first place and you'll get soo much more out of them. Nobody is arguing that they're incapable of playing in different positions when needed, but that simply misses the point because it's not necessary to do so to begin with. Furthermore, it's not only that, it's also his stubborn insistence on using WBs when clearly that approach has failed because we have none at the club.
These exact same points are getting repeated endlessly now mate. If you still can't see what's so blindingly clear to many, then I give up lol!Leave a comment:

Stan Stan I agree with every word of what you've just posted but how do we know he's got anybody else to play there or hes just having a look to see what they can do , but I have said many times this 3-5-2 or 1-1 doesn't suit what we've got as well as I always prefer the 4-4-2You're over-complicating it dogs. True he's better elsewhere , I've said before I've seen Mackie play r/b aswell as c/f no fuss made , now I'm not saying it's right to ask a C/f to play at W/b if you have a W/b available , but I'm reiterating that a lot of the players are incapable of making a fist of helping out in other positions and no better than average in what they call their right position , plus some of our squad might be good enough but just won't let themselves be or just won't be

Disagree. Play players in their correct position in the correct formation and we're easily an upper half team, even top 10 IMO.
Agree.
Disagree. Many foreign coaches use conventional wingers instead of WBs.

I agree that the squad players we have are lower championship , Ollie insists on playing formations that are above their limitations and that's where I disagree with bringing in your choice of managers because they will more than likely want to play the same formations .The fact we have a DOF will make us unattractive to most seasoned English managers, like Pulis etc. I think we should look to Italy, Spain or Portugal - managers from those countries are more at ease with having a DOF around.
However, I am afraid the problem isn't first of all Holloway. The problem is the squad - it is simply not better than bottom half of the Championship. It takes a very, very good manager to turn the fortune around. I would prefer to stick with Holloway till the end of the season (even though I know it isn't risk free) - we will find it difficult to identify a very good manager in December. I am afraid a new appointment now will happen in a rush with a very uncertain outcome. However, if I was TF and LF I would start to look around already now, with the aim of an appointment by the end of the season.
But I do think the rest of what say about Ollie's replacement the club should be looking now for a June appointment makes sense but we know QPR make their signings in last minute dashLeave a comment:
