If Austin were to go out on loan I highly doubt he'd want to come back down to the Championship.

There's a fair few Prem clubs that would certainly take him on loan.

Slightly better than I would have expected at the start of the season tbh. I honestly thought we were bang in trouble this season, but we have started well (albeit fizzled out slightly of late). Overall, pretty happy tbf.

We were touting him around after he'd had the best season of his life and the only serious offer to come in was from Leicester City. Hasn't done a lot at Southampton (albeit that he hasn't really been given a chance), and continues to get injured quite frequently. Could be back at this level sooner than we think. Although I think we'd be very lucky to see him at Loftus Road again any time soon!

He's in the prime of his career at 28 so really shouldn't be on the bench.

Think he draws about 55k a week near on 5 yr deal so not cheap for anyone.
