    Subs last night

Not a dig at Ollie, but what was going on with the substitutions yesterday? Surely when pav got injured, most people would prefer to bring Darnell on in a straight swap and keep the same formation. His pace and energy would have tired the Norwich left side more than bringing on kazenga and changing the formation.
Then when lynch later got injured, we could have put Robinson on for him at LWB And moved bidwell into the middle, once again adding attacking pace and maintaining 3-5-2.
This would then have left us with a wild card of smith or Lualua as the final sub for the last 15 mins depending on how the game was going. These subs would have given us a better chance in the match, imo.
Having said that, we actually played pretty well I thought and doing despite losing, we matched Norwich for a large part of the game. We need to dust ourselves down And make sure we don't lose again on Saturday. You R'S!

I think you'll find most people on here would go ballistic and have to tell the whole world about it if Holloway plays a player out of position !

You only really need a couple of game plans with everyone knowing their job. Last term we had about five and as a result no one knew a r s e from
elbow. As long as Olly stays on the rails in this department we'll be fine.
doh! spoke too soon... tbf to Olly, tactical thinking on the hoof is the true test, one in which many big names have been found wanting. It was NW's weak spot too.

          Early signs remain reasonably encouraging.

Beats me why we play 3,centre halves when we only have two out and out centre halves fit. People rant on here when luongo etc get played out of position but no one bats an eyelid when walking red card Perch is the third centre half. To cap it all lynch and onuha don't have the brains when Hall doesn't play to make a 3 work.. Caulker surely will play in place of Lynch when fit but I'd much prefer us with a back 4.

Maybe because Perch has played CB for a few clubs before joining us.

Possibly, but if you're a better right back than CB and Bidwell a better left back than wing back use the two CBs RB LB and make a competent back four...Managers choice and it's his job on the line so time will tell if he is right....

Funny really as I would say from the few occasions I've seen him play there that Perch is a better CB than RB !

100% correct - Perch is never a RB. Not ever. Ever.
