On the point of Rangers 'not being a big enough club to have two 1st choice goalkeeping options'. Birmingham City about the same size as us. Their goalkeepers - Kuszczak and Stockdale. Both 1st choice Championship goalkeepers.Last edited by surrey_hoop; 08-08-2017, 11:12 AM.

Maybe we can find a couple of 36 year old international goalies for our bench. Don´t think we´ve ever tried that. Can probably get them at a bargain too.

Not a lot for the Prem I agree but other than Ned and Caulker I doubt anyone is on anything like that at ours.

Rangers as a club have always had this mentality of signing a good 1st choice keeper, and then making up the numbers. All I'm suggesting is that we bring in a decent keeper with a bit of experience to challenge for the jersey, or at the very least represent a decent option off the bench. Again, would you trust Ingram or Lumley at this level if (god forbid) Smithies was seriously injured and out for a number of months? I wouldn't.
3-4 years away? You're having a giraffe!
