    Yep.

Something does need to be done at the back aswell.

Primarily what we need is a bit of bloody nouse from the bench.

Player changes aren't going to address the key issues, quite apart from the fact that we're in the bargain basement when it comes to recruitment......

Washington is a 7/10 striker, who has limitations, needs the ball played to him or to run onto, and has had that for maybe 5 games of his career here. He's no Charlie, but he's alright.
Nope he definitely isn't alright. His shots on target to score ratio is appalling. His 1 goal per 7 games is relegation standard. An average Div 1 player at the very best. Even the posh chairman said we'd paid well over the odds for him.

So what we paid over the odds for him? he's here now, sometimes you buy a sh!te car, but it still runs. We need another striker, yes, but unless he's going up for sale for close enough to what we paid he might aswell stay. There's a player in there, enough to warrant a place on the bench.

We need to understand that the root problem of our strikers is service. His goals to shots ratio is #### poor because he snatches and panics. What makes Sylla quite good is the thing that also gets him abuse, his languid lazy touch becomes super clinical when he's got the ball at his feet, he's good at giving himself time, and understanding where to be in the box, but rubbish elsewhere. Conor works his nuts off but that causes him to panic, because no, he's not brilliant.

we are going to be lucky to get a top quality striker in, like really lucky. With the money (no idea what it is but it sounds like peanuts) we have it will be someone from scunthorpe or abroad, and it'll not be down necessarily to who we bring in, but how we serve them, they need the ball played to them! Not in the air from defence but from the midfield and the wings.

Charlie was a rare gem and to be honest, he made us look far better than we were in the HR promotion year.

If were`re going to shift one or two defenders, I would like us to see who Preston North End have in their squad. Their goal difference is quite amazing.

                Robinson in last chance saloon.

I'd sign LuaLua if cheap + 5 others (2 Defenders, LW, 2 Strikers)
Obviosuly replace anyone who leaves for a fee, which is basically Smithies & Manning
So how much do you think 6 quality players would cost in todays financial climate

                  It ain't going to happen.

We need many of those 'garbage' players to get the squad through a season, so many games. Not saying they're great but they're what we have.

We'll be lucky to see 5 new players, think about it wouldn't you rather 2/3 better additions rather than more wholesale cleanouts?

Best signing we'll make this close season is keeping Smithies.
Fair point and I will go with that as long as we can get rid of the dross of glad win and el kyeti.
