On his way to Forest and Grabban at Reading, Taylor at Bristol City. So no other forward for us. Smith has replaced Polter.
Any of the above forwards might have been good for the club. Still at least Morrison has been signed although it is a pity his namesake from Cardiff could not be signed to help out with the back 4.

I would think Sandro and caulkers wages would pay the wages of all the incomings.

I think the writing could be on the wall for Luongo. Goss coming in will push him and now morrison. It will make it very difficult to keep him in starting xi. He is a good footballer but hasn't really clicked as a QPR player. Rarely assists and hasn't scored for us. Need more from him

Perch is still levels above furlong at the moment. Really don't get how people don't rate him.

Would Furlong be as highly rated if he did not have the surname he has? Certainly nowhere near the player some believe him to be right now. Really needs to work with Fleming who played the same position that he does.

Think Goss likely to take Luongo's place with him being so inconsistant with manning along side

A lot of work appears to have taken place, and we appear to have moved on most players that needed to go.
The incomings appear to be good replacement, obviously time will tell.

                          I have just one question

Is no one concern at the lack of cover at Centre Back position.?

                          We have Ned and Joel.
Joel, although playing very well now, has had odd injury problem.

Our only actual cover at Centre half -albeit our best centre half(IMO) is Grant Hall. Who has an Achilles injury and out for some time. He was filling in the defensive midfield - but we have that position covered now.

So defensive cover for Centre half = ? Perch ?
                          Robinson....injured still.
                          Caulker ..Gone?

We lose Ned or Joel..we seem very very light at the back.
But...they are professionals , so they are obviously aware, that if we get a knock or two or suspension, do we replace with one of our many attacking midfield options?

                          Not moaning, just concerning.

                            -----------------Smithies---------------

Furlong -- Onuoha -- Lynch -- Bidwell (would prefer Robinson if he were able to play consistently)

-----------------Hall---------------------- (if he were fit obviously, would put Manning in there or Goss atm)
                            ------Luongo---------Freeman---------

                            Pawel -------------------------- Morrison

Some of these teams being put forward (in this thread and others) really are a case of 'new toy so must play with it' syndrome.

Goss? We've not even seen him in action yet but some are ready to stick him in. Same applies to Freeman.

Mackie? Kicked to the curb, despite being our most important outfield player recently. When will people learn.

Freeman and LuaLua straight in ahead of pawal? The pole has been playing well recently.

Same with Manning. Him and Mackie are the stand out players of January but many are prepared to drop them for untried and untested new recruits....
