    Simples.

I wouldn't mind betting that despite his shortcomings with us (so far), he'll go on to be decent somewhere else

He wouldn't come imo, brentford are in a way better position than us and have a good side, we have karl henry playing the backpass game, elk running the ball out of play and ned leading

Glad someone else mentioned it. Impressed by him tbh.

              We talking about Mark Warburton?

If so he is 100% the guy that I'd want in the job. Worked miracles at Brentford despite some serious interference from the board and (despite what certain deluded areas of the Glasgow Rangers fan base think), is doing an excellent job in Scotland.

Problem is, I don't see him wanting to join a club like us with somebody like Les Ferdinand looking over his shoulder. He left Brentford due to interference from the board on tactics, signings etc. How's he gonna feel about someone like Les who has no pedigree in a DOF role (and I include his results since joining us in that), having his say on how the team is run?

We meant their current incumbent actually, Dean Smith.

Take your points re Warburton though.

Must admit when i was watching the game on tv last week i wanted to bang him one lol
But he looks like the sort of nitty gritty no messing type of manager we need.
I reckon he would command a bit of respect and get the team playing proper football again

Yep Dean Smith, he certainly seems to have Brentford playing good stuff

Agree Ed. Seems tactically astute too. Seemed to know precisely how to nullify our threat, as well as to exploit our weaknesses (granted that's not difficult with us ;-) ). JFH was clueless in how to respond and tactically put to absolute shame.

Dean Smith took over a far more settled squad than we have , Brentford have building up to where they are now for 4 or5 years Fulham likewise we've had the bulk of our squad together for just over one year , we need time to develope , expect results to inconsistent but consistent dross is unacceptable

Loving the fact that those replying to the suggestion of the Brentford manager elide over the description of him being a 'carnt '...

You may be spot on with this one, but only if he ever finds a way to set his stamp on the way his team(s) shall play. So far I struggle to see any sign of it.

If I were in charge I'd do everything in my power to get Mark Warburton and his team in. Top manager, him.
