Our form is constant, constantly bad especially at home.

I don't think people on here are pessimistic. They have just had enough of JFH and want another manager. I think we have a reasonable team and with a decent manager could do well. A number of the decent managers which were around have now gone to other clubs in the Championship and these teams will/already are benefitting from this. This is the thing which is sad. We also need to have some ambition. We should be aiming to win all our home games with attacking football. This is a poor division and aiming to finish mid table is not good enough.

This!!!!!! Thank god there are others that can see the wood for the trees. I am actually reasonably positive about QPR for my sins but in general since Jimmy has been at the club i have been bored out of my ####ing skull. Ive never felt like this about rangers before, not ever. I don't want to go to the football and thats saying something having been a season ticket holder for many years. We are not improving or showing any signs of learning from past mistakes we just amble through the season lazily hoping the odd win might come our way. Its a good group of players that lack direction but #### me something has got to change to liven the place up and sharpish

Jimmy is 100% to blame for the style of play and constantly negative tactics but lets be honest except for a few exceptions , the players arn`t good enough to challenge for promotion anyway ,certainly not an automatic spot . So if all we are playing this dire football for is to try for a mid table place ,and Jimmy wont change that ,he has to go before we lose the half Loft to Carp fishing !

We haven't lost in 4 and we're being more proactive with substitutions as opposed to being reactive during our worst period this season. We're about to start seeing more of our best first XI and certain players in particular are putting in good performances at the right time, such as Wszolek and Sylla. We have 4 matches now before the next international break where we can start to boost our all round performances. Our keeper is back to his best after a shaky period earlier this season and we're about to get back a legitimate left back after having to play the last two games with a centre back out wide. We're getting our best player back from tuesday hopefully and he'll give us more solidity in the middle and we've finally found the right position to play Conor if need be, which gives us more options. We've got a London derby coming up and we've won our last 3 prior which gives me hope. We haven't lost to Bristol in our last 5 attempts and we've only lost once to Sheffield in our last. Granted we haven't had the best recent history against Nottingham Forest, but our away performances could get us a positive result there.

So that's where my positive outlook lies. You would call it a stretch, I don't. I think it's a pretty fair evaluation of our potential and with a bit of luck, we can use a potential upturn to push us on until January where we can reevaluate.
I was beginning to have some sympathy with SOME of the points you are making then I read the opening of this post. Are you for real? We create bugger all. Sylla came on and we never got the ball anywhere near him. Multiple routes of danger? What, bang it up to Polter or give it to Chery who has definitely lost whatever it was he had? If you get excited by what we are watching you must have it on playback at times 12. The only bit of football we saw was when Shodipo broke Jimmy's rules and ran forward with the ball giving it to Wszolek on an intelligent run - a rare thing from the current players.

As for Bristol and Sheffield, both were playing better football than us last year too, In fact, here's some interesting points: Prior to us beating Bristol 1 nil last season at home, they had lost just one of their previous 6 games. As for Sheffield, well prior to our 1 1 draw with them, they had just seen the end of a very strong unbeaten run as well as only losing once at home. To get a draw against them was mighty impressive. Alongside that, our nil nil draw with them at home came about after Sheffield had gone unbeaten in 5 and winning 3 in the process, all while we were sliding down the table having won just one of the previous 6.

Notice how both were playing better football than us whenever we got decent results against them, so again, this is the championship, anything is possible.

As for form not being constant, you're absolutely right, form is never a constant in football, not least at this level, but it does have a psychological effect on confidence and a team is more likely to go into a match feeling more prepared as a unit if they haven't lost recently. With that being said, the chances of winning and losing are unaffected, but at least psychologically you go in with a particular outlook. Coming out of it with the same view isn't necessarily going to happen obviously, but no reason not to be hopeful for me at least.
When Robinson was fit, he wasn't even getting in the squad, much less the first team. There's absolutely nothing to suggest that'll change once he's fit.

Do you know what else has a psychological effect? Not being able to win, particularly in front of your own fans. We are draw specialists under JFH, and always will be whilst he's in charge. He isn't prepared to take a risk, especially at home, and as I've said before - if you can't regularly win (especially at home) in this division, you aren't going to do anything, let alone make the top six. Drawing at home and knicking the occassional away win is not a recipe for a play-off spot.

Couldn't agree any more! JFH is a shocking manager and we have gone so far backwards. A old head like Bruce or Warnock even with our squad being deprived of talent would have us organised and playing to our strengths.
JFH is to naive and not willing to change his philosophies or adapt to different situations and it's costing us massively. The football is mind numbing and I just don't recognise the club I love right now.

But we aren't nicking the occasional away match, we've won half of our away matches so far, only Newcastle have won more. If we go through a phase where we can't keep that up, we'll most likely do better at home.

Once again, I have to just say, I can totally understand where everyone else is coming from, I've even explained in my thread on my section regarding the fact that fans will always obviously want attacking football and entertaining football. For me, that's irrelevant, but that's a personal thing, where I love the tactical side of everything about this sport. So personally, what people consider to be "entertaining football" is no more entertaining than the stuff we're seeing right now. certainly people won't agree with that, but I don't find that affecting how I feel about it. We all love the club for different reasons, so those who love it because it brought consistent entertaining football, fair enough, you have different demands than I do. I have my own reasons and I'll stick by this club for the rest of my life now because of them.

1 home win and 3 away wins at cardiff, Fulham and Wigan. Nas why if the away wins stop do you expect us to go on a home winning run? What are you basing this asumption on as I have seen #### all to suggest it is coming anytime soon.

Tends to be how things work out historically for sides in and above midtable.

I think for most fans, the game is about entertainment. They are not particularly interested in the tactical side of the game. However surely a tactical manager should be able to provide entertainment which JFH fails to do. He should be able to change the course of a match, he should be able to give the team a good half time talk so that they come out in the second half playing with more enthusiasm. I don't think he does this and am not sure if he is able to. Perhaps he talks to the players in a different way, but I get the impression that he doesn't encourage them to play their own game and they are scared of making mistakes. If this is tactical, then it's not something I really want to watch.
