    Now that I agree with.

    • Jimmy,

Right or wrong, his tactics and results are questionable. If my performance at work was under the expectation from my bosses and i was caught trying to earn extra money above or below board, my position would be questioned.

He is finished, the fans will use this against him every time there is a below part performance.

        This is my point mate.

Whether we have legal rights to terminate his contract or not is neither here nor there. The cost of paying up Jimmy's 1 year rolling contract is negligible in the grand scheme of things.

I believe that we have seen enough to say that his behaviour was inappropriate and damaging to the club at very least. Illegal and/or a breach of contract, probably but that's up to the lawyers to decide. Either way, he's signed his own death warrant and I don't beleive there is anything that can come out of the full transcript that will undo that.

Get it done before the club is made to look any more stupid!

True, but there are a lot of smart tax avoidance tactics that can be utilised for money earned offshore. Unethical of course, but not necessarily illegal (think back a few months to the David Cameron scandal). You'd need to see the full transcript and employ a tax specialist to know if what Jimmy was talking about there was illegal or not.

No one is suggesting he has. What he has done is offer third party services while under contract here on the basis of financial inducement. Unprofessional, naive and contrary to his stated aim of 'giving 100%' to the club.

I'm interested in his other business activities but that's another story........

He might have done something illegal.

As I've just said on another thread, there is a definite admission of tax avoidance. Whether it could be proven as tax fraud or not would require the input of a tax specialist.

                • The club is taking the correct action in so far as having a proper investigation is better than a knee-jerk reaction. They still may sack him, he could be in breach of his contract or it could be gross misconduct? Either way the club is obliged to look into it properly.

I think if we lose tomorrow and lose badly that will surely be the final nail in his coffin.Tomorrow's going to be tense, the Ruperts will be expecting to walk all over us.

If we can muster up the siege mentality as fans, out sing them, that will the only shred of dignity we can bring back to the club. At the very least as fans it's in our hands to turn up and make some noise, no excuses.

                  • When that video was released last night I was like 'Whyyyyy?!!', having watched it a couple of times I think it sheds fantastic clarity and it's brilliant communication for the fans.

Les looks peeved IMO, and so he should be. This was supposed to be a new direction, a new QPR, and he thought he'd found the right guy.

                    • Club statement - investigation update

Club provides further update on internal investigation ...

QPR can confirm that we are currently unable to proceed any further with the club's internal investigation at this stage, as The Telegraph are yet to provide full and complete unconditional disclosure of all the information it has, despite a number of requests from both the club and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's legal team.

We urge The Telegraph to provide full disclosure of all its information relating to the allegations, including video footage and a full transcript of the discussions that took place.

The club believes this information should not be provided selectively, but unedited and unconditionally, in order for the club to view the full context and the sequence of what was said by all parties to include in its investigation.

Once again, we appreciate the QPR fans want this issue dealt with as quickly as possible, which is why we request full cooperation from The Telegraph in providing us with the aforementioned footage and transcript.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, his staff and the R’s players remain 100% focused and committed on the job in hand, and as a club we would encourage our supporters to show their passionate and loyal support, as they always do, when we play Fulham in the Sky Bet Championship tomorrow (Saturday) lunchtime.

Cameron was different because it was an investment not earnings which was dealt with by his tax accountant. Perhaps JFH was going to declare this payment but then why pay it into his Dutch bank account. Also not sure where the 10% came from because the Netherlands has one of the highest income tax rates in the EU.

I assume that the club asked JFH about his tax affairs.

Depends where he's resident for tax purposes. Assuming he's uk resident now, he'd have to declare that income and will be taxed on it, irrespective of what bank account it's paid into. If he's Dutch resident, can't see the issue.
