Watched Shelvey through the whole game - he virtually ran the game for them, but remained unmarked and usually in acres of space through the entire game????

They showed how to play to beat the closing down game - one touch passing and players supporting other players and running into space. We were slow and ponderous which is why we don't score.

Class act tonight but let's be honest he's playing at a level which is very easy for him. Walk in the park for mr shelvey. But we gave him the licence to roam and do whatever he wanted. It's Henrys job to try and stop that from happening and I don't think Shelvey will have an easier game this season tbh. Quite scary to think Kelvin is the first name on Jimmy 2 bobs team sheet, our standards have dropped to a shocking level. Not 1 of our players would make it in Newcastles squad and they have a manager that was managing Madrid this time last year. Look at their forwards ###### me that's what you call firepower.
