    Southampton

Just signed a new striker for £21m,pushing Charlie Austin further down the pecking order.

Seen a few links with us.

Maybe could see a short term loan if he wants to stay local to where he lives.

If we got Charlie back in any type of capacity it would be excellent for the club and certainly enhance our chances of the playoffs. Couldn't believe that I sa people saying they wouldn't want him back even if it is highly unlikely he will anyway.

Would walk into our starting line up and any other team in the championship.

He will NOT drop to the championship.

Some people need a dose of reality, and to stop torturing themselves.

If he has the choice of coming on as sub at Southampton or playing regularly he might change his mind. Not sure it would be in the Club's interest to have him back, because the problem while he was here was that he was looked on as our best player and as a result the rest of the players didn't always play as a team.

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

The guy they signed isn't a striker. No. 10 or winger.

Austin will stay IMO and if he doesn't get game time he'll get a loan to a struggling PL side in January. Would love him back though\!

Southampton are loaning out J-Rod to West Brom so I wouldn't see it as falling down the pecking order at all. Plus they sold Pelle and Mane remember so he's probably a notch or two higher than last season still
i supported qpr in the glory days when chris kiwomya and michael ngonge played up front

Austin will go for 8mill minimum. It was a win win signing Charlie

Even if it was a loan, we wouldn't be able to afford (half) of his wages. Unless Soton accept shirt buttons and washers...

                            We can afford anyones wages.
The clubs spunked quarter of a billion in five years, so money really is no object.
We just cant legally pay them anymore.
