I really don't think Nasser, petrasso and gladwin are anywhere near as good as this guy. He's not only more talented but he always seems to be a player that will give 100%. Think he'd fit in well....other than as a Prem player, would of thought his wage demands would be high.

Would have thought if we were interested, a deal could have been done with the Phillips move.

Personally quite liked him and would have taken him a couple of years ago. Pretty much no football in 2 years is a bit concerning, so not sure id want us to spend anywhere near 3 million on him.

I hope such a signing will not cause unrest in the squad which already seems very competent as it is. Petrasso, El Kayate and Gladwin deserves a few more chances, don`t they`? Just a thought.. On the contrary; McManaman used to be a very good player at Wigan. A defensive minded WBA is not an easy challege for any attacker, I would imagine..

Decent player. Bit like a younger Mackie...would be excellent at this level

Just think that once Gladwin gets himself fully fit and some decent game time, he'll prove to be a shrewd signing.

He has already had almost two seasons at this level and he wasn't excellent just average.

Nah McManaman's a tidy player, good brain and technique. Would comfortably start for us and provide some good squad depth..

He hasn't played because Pulis is in charge at WBA and just wants a team based around pure muscle. When has a skillful young player ever excelled under him?

                    Too expensive for us apparently.

They are deluded with their valuations. I understand a club has to stand strong against clubs coming in for their players, but they are setting ridiculous prices on Berahino, Evans and now McManaman

If he wants to come here and that's a big if, likely something will be sorted.

They'll probably agree a deal. Jimmy never gives anything away
