Rodney & Stan were my idols but as for England think you'd have to have Paul Gascoigne in there, a flawed man individual but deffo one of the most skilful players I've ever seen play for England

John Barnes should be in there.

Not end of at all. I'd go bobby Charlton, could strike a ball harder than anyone
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

                Different era to Gazza/Hoddle.
Besides, striking a ball harder than anyone else = entertaining?

                  Not as entertaining though.

It's a shame as its been nearly 20 years since Gazza has pulled on a England shirt. I have high hopes for players like Alli and Barkley. They both need chances. For Alli, playing in the right position to start with. Barkley needs game time, he will have bad games but we have to keep with him.

The shame of it is that when Marsh and Stan were playing well England had managers who did not really rate them, Revie, Greenwood and Taylor but Gazza is the one who stands out.............mainly for THAT goal against the Scots at Wembley. Great to see some potential knocking at the door now..........perhaps?

None of the current lot should be spoken about in the same sentence as the likes of Hoddle/Gazza, bar maybe Rooney in his early days.
