No, I don`t really know this player. Haugesund is a club which is very much based on hard work from eleven players. Think I have to investigate the matter before I return with a "conclusion"

The opening poster is naming him captain King Kong, and he playing in the middle of a back 3. They do also say that Gent has recalled him. Not sure what that mean, maybe Gent will sell him to us, and we can use him alongside Grant Hall?

              From wikepedia

'After playing youth football in England for Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur, Troost-Ekong began his senior career in the Netherlands with FC Groningen and FC Dordrecht.

In March 2015 he was linked with a transfer to Scottish club Celtic.

In July 2015 he signed for Belgian club Gent, and has joined Norwegian club Haugesund on loan. At the beginning of the 2016 season he was awarded captaincy for the remainder of his loan."

He was born in the Netherlands, so is perhaps known to JFH.

                  And coach Dirk Heesen?

Think he's referring to JFH's quotes that he'd like to build a squad of primarily home-grown players. Seems to me like he's doing both though as not all his reported targets have been overseas, so far.

Agree though he's played youth football here.

Not surely why he said that as we need the best players we can get. Their nationality shouldn't be an issue.
