Team for next year as I see it

Working on the assumption that Hoillet and Phillips go, and that we resign maybe Faulin and Henry(personally would not resign either) team would be based on a 4-1-4-1 again not my favored line up

GK. Ingram or Smithies both good keepers

RB new. Hall. New CB. Robinson

    Holding player New
    New Luongo. Chery new
    New

Squad Onouha maybe Hill. Perch. Polter Washington- needs a break Kpekawa,Petrasso,Faulin and Henry, sorry to say that's it.

Only 15 players so probably 8 required, another huge rebuild.

I really dont see Luongo going from barely getting a look in to first teamer at start of the new season

Looks decent to me, but would have Faurlin and Luongo playing as the deeper duo, with chery in front of them and Hoilett (if we keep him) and one new winger or two new wingers.

Not sure Luongo suits english fooball? Or the CC, for that matter. Could be that he is more of a Continental type of player? Just a thought, but it could also well be that simple as we yet haven´t got players who can play alongside him..

Not exactly not getting a look in though. Since JFH first brought him back into the squad in January, of the 1620 minutes of football the club has played in that time, Luongo's played 1273, making 14 full 90 minute appearances and missing only 4 matches through injury and fatigue. Been a regular though and will continue to be next season.

            I really hope we scrap 4 2 3 1 and give 4 4 2 ago.

I think we have a decent amount of players who we can retain as part of a squad or potentially to finish mid table again. However if we are going to move forward and compete we need to bring in some decent championship ready players.

For a top 6 push the following make the 11 for me -

            Smithies
            Hall
            Robinson
Caulker - if we keep him
            Faurlin
            Cherry

So agree with Romford in the fact that we need 7/8 decent signings to really push on. Good thing is it could be possible if we move Sandro, fer and Phillips on.

Plus we will have hoilett, traore and green of the wage bill.

            Smithies

New rb hall caulker/new CB Robinson

New rw Faurlin Lansbury new lw

            New striker new striker

            Or if a 4 2 3 1 we slot cherry back in number 10

We 100% need to bring in two decent wingers, 2 cm who have a engine and a forward pass in them, a championship proven striker and a RB and CB.

Lots of work if we want to compete at the top.

Need to turn three or four draws into wins next season to make the play offs. Really not that impossible or beyond the realms of belief.

It's more than achievable mate. Will depend on the recruiting in the summer. I think with the squid we have now then we are looking at 12th -16th again but 4 or 5 shrewd singing a that could push us top 8 potentially.

If the club surprise us and bring in 4 or 5 good shifting a and then maybe 1 or 2 'special players' then we might just have a shot at a top 6 maybe top 2 finish.

Will come down to the clubs ambitions.

I think you guys need to be realistic. Even if we get rid of players, I think it is unlikely we will sign many new players. I think JFH will be required to make do with the players he has now.

All depends if we can get fee's for players being sold, players will be incoming though even on a free.

No chance!! He might go and recruit the wrong players but we definitely have a plan in place and a shortlist of players he and the club want.
The club have already said they will be busy in the summer and rarer ring British players who are aged between 22-26.

Biggest question will be will we back him with substantial funds or will he have to wheel and deal.

Maybe we should give Doughty a chance?

I actually can't believe I forgot about him, I'd love to give him game time, his game against Huddersfield was truly phenomenal for a first start and he's been on fire in the league below. Could he be the solution? I'd love to find out. Add in Comley as well.
