Haha. Tbf Isleworth, one of the nicest posters on here, never said that to me. Kev, foolishly, says it all the time, which is a shame. But there have been more than a couple of times this season when most of us have wished we didn't go!!!!

Yes, I do remember that 77. It was obviously down to the playing style when we were grounding out wins but in a dull and mercenary fashion. Personally I hope you keep posting and giving your opinions because I always appreciate them, even though you can come across as negative and very critical at times. It's not really my style of posting but nevertheless I do find myself agreeing with the you much of the time, mainly on the tactical side of things. Think the main difference with me is I still have faith in JFH.

Wasn't thinking the other day that maybe one of the problems is that, whatever the ups and downs of the last five years, it was never boring. Even going down twice was exciting because, however s hit the performances, however difficult the moment, we poor stupid dopes thought, right up to the death, we could get out of trouble. Villa away last season was a great night, because we had some hope. Even thought, realistically, we hadn't. This season now is far less exciting now we've consigned ourselves to mid table, and that might have something to do with the flat feeling some have. Jury's really still out for me on Jimmy....

I think Villa were really lucky to stay up last season 77. Benteke single handedly did it after deciding he could finally be ar***d. If we had held on to that lead that night after winning at WBA the game before who knows eh!

By the time you get to us in LU the mood has mainly swung back to the level and nature you suggest. Perhaps there are pockets of them dotted around but, on the whole, home and away the complaints are about players and lack of effort/ability, toilets, queues, warm beer and stewards

For Christ sake they are the things that are applicable while the game is on and half
time trying to get a drink or breaking your to have a hit and miss but , if you happen to get in early or in the pub before or after then you tend to chat about deeper things ie the DOF system the chairman the way things have gone

Absolutely agree. I actually think if Norwich drop and keep their manager they would be the ones to fear next season.

Without a doubt they going about it in the right way well managed with no illusions of grandeur and are prepared to yoyo for as long as it takes this is a role model clubs like us need to look at
