I was at Swindon v Blackpool and Doughty was very average. Was expecting good things after his two goals the previous week but he offered no attacking threat and gave the ball away on numerous occasions. I am not a fan of Tozer but Doughty is not the solution, yet.

By the same token, I saw him at Huddersfield where we won away and kept a clean sheet and he was tenacious in defence, ran all the game, proved a formidable barrier alongside Faurlin and passed well, trying to pass forward as often as he could. And that's a division higher. So we have to take a balanced view from more than one game. From what I've seen, he's a better option than Toszer, simple as that.Originally posted by Milney View PostI was at Swindon v Blackpool and Doughty was very average. No none of them are up to it so ship them out instead of wasting a wage on them and put money towards decent replacement. I know we want to bring youth players through I'm like everyone else I want that but they need to be of the right standard and quality or what's the point.Originally posted by upperloft View PostWhat do you reckon then west? Keep with Toszer think Oscar Gobern will soon be fit.
Doughty is the latest some demand for no other reason then he's through the ranks but if you have seen him play its clear as day he's not up to it regardless of how much we may want him to be. Now comley the few times I have seen him looks like he has something about him and that's where our time and efforts should be placed
If we were to bring someone in I would try and get Birdcutt if Brighton don't go up

But Marty how many have gone on at other clubs and come up trumps , got to agree with Westy that Comely is the only one that looks like he could break the mould , think he's back this week I hope JFH takes a good look at himOriginally posted by Martinmalta View PostKind of agree, however, how many youngsters were given a chance in these last four or five years?

I was also at huddersfield game and agree he looked the business. Also thought he played well in the cup game against Carlisle in what was a very poor QPR performance. But yesterday he was not good enough for a Swindon side that dominated the game. I had a very close eye on him yesterday as I had Breton Swindon winning 2-1 with Doughty scoring the last goal. With the score at 1-1 at half time thought I had a chance of winning over a ton but he got nowhere near the ball in the attacking third.
