What really happened in the 1st half

I only saw the second half and for me it was so much like most of last 20 matches - evenly balanced with few goal scoring opportunities.
Was it the defense who has played brilliantly not conceding goals (13 in last 20 games)?
Was it the tactic 442 against opponents 352 - over matched in midfield?
Was it the midfield and wingers not helping?
    Something else

Tozser offering no defensive cover against an energetic fulham side, Konchesky always caught out of position. Second half they calmed down and we didn't have much to deal with.

This is what the J F H out fail to or don't want to see 2nd half one nil even with Tozser dominating the midfield battle

Parker and Ohara totally mugged our make shift and uber light weight midfield. They just over run us from the middle of the park and strolled forward with the forwards and our usually miserly defence couldn't cope with the unfair advantage of being so outnumbered.
Was awful to be honest, embarrassingly awful. .

they were decent in midfield tbf.

This is the problem when people consistently moan that they want 2 up front, you will inevitably come up against teams who completely dominate you in midfield and thus control the game.

defense was poor and Hall got caught out by getting himself in terrible positions. That being said, a front two of McCormack and Dembele will have caused a lot of defensives problems for teams.

            Polter - Sh!te
            Toszer - even more sh!te
            Phillips - sh!te
            Hoilett - Sh!te

pretty much the whole defense sh!te.

just think back to the last time we played Fulham and it was that all over again.

Don't think we can play 4 4 2 without ale or henry in the starting 11. Luongo is a good player but not a ball winner or defensive midfielder and tozer does absolutely nothing in defensive or forward duties,, Hoilett or phillips will never win a ball back either, so it's pretty simple to see why that happened really. That's four players who won't ever tackle the opposing players, what else could happen if the opposition are on their game and have experienced and good players like parker and Ohara passing totally unchallenged or marked to even better players like mccormack and dembele.

You can play 2 up front if the 2 in the middle can defend when the opposition attack.

Fulham managed to play 2 up front and still dominated midfield in a 3-5-2 formation. Don't think we have the players to play this formation as is reliant on having attacking full backs.

Not with the limited full backs we have for sure

we didn't compete .wrong midfield tozser and loungo don't tackle or close down . phillips and hoilett lazy players that don't work hard enough. parker , o'hara and cairney got about us snapped into the tackle and played short passes , easy when our midfield won't press as a midfield unit. if you saw tozser he had at no time any sweat on his face . in the 2nd half fulham took their foot off the gas as the game was won

The whole team and tactical selection was poor and individual player performance generally wretched to a man, all 3 goals conceded had at least one glaring individual error nailed to it!

We needed a ball winner in M/f someone to break up their play to give our defenders a bit more time ,Tozser cant Faulin can when available but we do have one where is he up the road at Wyecombe on loan , DOF recall him play him along side Faulin to learn from a PLAYER

By making two forced changes from a winning team? Easy to criticise in hindsight but he made decisions based on necessity and was let down horrendously by players who should do better.
