Thats because they made very little attempt in the transfer windows this season.
As for Mackie, yes he runs but he is useless much of the game. If they want someone to run then they may as well sign athletes from running clubs.

He didn't really have much choice, we simply right now don't have the squad to be picky. Perhaps in hindsight Chery should have started instead of Mackie in AM but then we would have all complained it was back to 4-5-1. He can't win with us to be honest.

Mackie is not a goalscorer. If he was pucked to just run around then at least pick someone with a modicum of footballing ability.

Should of played Austin, Wegerle and Ferdinand up front. He has had 8 years to build this squad now so can't say the players aren't his own.

Terrible call from the manager & it backfired spectacularly on him. Made him look very silly & even worse with his sub of Polter.

Starting Hoilett ahead of Khayati was another mistake too IMO.

Chery also needs to start from now on. Weird how he was about to bring him on at 60 mins then suddenly changed his mind and waited until 75 mins.
What happened there mate was Tozzer hoofing it in the stand and the angry reaction from the crowd. If he'd taken anyone other than Tozzer off at that point the crowd would have been on his back, so he waited until the Tozzer balls up had been forgotten.
