Fer's gone, hopefully a few more to follow him out the door.

Le Tiss, Thomson and Jamie Rednapp all just agreed when asked the best bit of business this window was Austin to Southampton.
Les Tissier also laughingly said he's paid back his four million transfer fee already with the winner at Old Trafford.

I still don't understand why we didn't alert other clubs to getting a bidding war going?

We pay to much, sell for so little.

Greta signing. Given the circumstances, everybody won with that deal IMO.

They got a top striker for a bargain (in footballing terms), we got £4m in for a bloke that was going on a free in a few months and Chaz got PL football on the south coast.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

I don't dispute that, all I'm saying is that if other clubs came calling Southampton would've offered more than 4m. Even if we knew we we're not going to sell to anyone else we would've got more from them.

Clubs and agents have played with us, why can't we do it?

Cause he was going to chose where he wanted to go and it was coast or London no bidding war to be had

I don't believe that for a minute, a British striker who can score you goals?

It's happened now, we need to move on, I just think we missed a trick that's all.

He was openly for sale in the summer mate and only Leicester even tested the waters. Available again for a snip this month and only Soton came forward. Says something.
