To be honest I wouldn't mind a few seasons mid table in the championship.

This is what 80 percent said before the season, and now most people are complaining. Bottomline; we need a total revamp, imo.

A period of calm wouldn't go amiss.
We've had a championship title, play off final win and three seasons in the prem, all in the last half a dozen years.
A lot of "bigger clubs" would bite our arm off for that. We are just starting to see a team developing which consists of young, hungry players, who have it all to prove, as opposed to some of the leaches who've been and gone who felt they were too big for us. I'd rather watch the former in the championship, than the latter in the premier league. It's a learning curve for everyone, including the manager, so they need time, and our support.

I'm ok with the position we're in, not the quality of football.

If we played better football then the likelihood is we would be in a better position and challenging for promotion.
You cannot have it both ways ginge.

If your happy with our current position for the next few years then I hope you enjoy the drossball.
Me, I want my team to go out and play good attractive football and battle for promotion. I want to see my team go out and try and win every week and finish as high as possible in the league.
Shame my wish is not happening though.

Finish high as possible in the league, get promoted and then almost certainly go through another nightmare season because we aren't ready for the Premier league? No thanks. Because that's what would happen. If taking a few years to build ourselves up again is what it takes to get promoted and give the Premier league a better go than the last 2 times, I'm all for it, and imo that's what we need. None of this returning as quickly as possible.

There is no reason why we can't get rid off the dross and get a nice few additions in for a challenge for next season, it's going to be even harder next season with the likes off villa,Sunderland and possibly Newcastle tumbling down to the championship

Doing things the right way would help us to get rid of our current label as a joke Club. A club full of Mercenaries. Thank god, most of them are gone now.
