      Likewise (JET)

Phillips, gone if someone bids £7m. If only for the money to finance a couple of incomings.
Sandro, Loan of anything over £5m, but fitness suggests nobody will take him.
Green, if contract rumour is true, he should be gently ushered through the door.
Fer, seems to want to stay & his form is improving. But if someone bid £4m or Sun'lan came back for a loan, he'd go.
      Traore, if only.
      Diakite, ditton.

      IMO

If we somehow manage to win next two games, we'll keep Phillips, Sandro and Fer.

If Phillips go I'd go in for Oliver Burke of Forest. They're skint and I reckon £2m could bring him in. Kids gonna be a star.

Boro 6m bid for Phillips rejected...

2011-2013, 2 seasons in the Premiership, 76 games, 14 wins........two years of my life I'll never get back!!

2013/2014 mediocrity topped off with a win at Wembley....

2014/2015 was pretty much the same as 2011-2013.....

            2015/2016, average at best.....

            2016/2017, same old, same old....

            2017/2018, aim low, avoid disappointment!

Its the hope that kills you!

If that's their first offer, fair enough, they will most likely come back with a bigger offer.

I actually like Matty P and want him to stay but if we get an offer of £7 mil, we have to accept.

If Phillips ends up going to WBA it could be that they may offer Lambert in part exchange. Could do a job for 18 months while Washington develops.

Wouldnt want Lambert imho. Goes against what the club are saying we are trying to do. I do like the lad McManaman for them though. Not sure what they would ask but something like him and 3 mil for phillips seems about right.

Not sure about that. As I understand it, JFH wants a strong English spine to the squad. If we are going back to the future, when the Rs were at their most successful, they always had a mixture of young up and coming players and fading stars who we managed to give a new lease of life to. The latter trick hasn't worked too well in recent years, but in principle it isn't a bad idea. Lots of fans scoff about the annual Crouchy rumours but I think he would bag loads of goals in this division and make many more played alongside some fast mobile youngsters.

Who's the Striker that Jimmy wants then?

Apparently wants at least 1 striker before window closes on Monday.

We are looking. It’s not easy because of the quality we want to bring in and also the personnel that this club deserves. But we are looking and we have got a few targets.”

I reckon a Prem team will panic buy Gayle. Someone like Norwich who nearly bought him in the summer.

Lambert would be great and the youngster from Crewe who we can develop. We need a mix of young and old. I would even say yes to a 1,5 years contract to Crouch.

We know that they want to reduce the squad size to about 22, we still need to offload about 5 to 6 players.

Why can't we sell any of our players?
