most of them were time served under exceptional managers. For every success story there are two or three failures.

Is it really worth such a big risk with such a big rebuilding job on the horizon and a potential tranfer embargo. Surely we need stability. Why arent we sounding out the likes of McCarthy or Jackett who know this league inside out?

The good news is that some outstanding young managers are being interviewed and for once the club hasn't rushed into a decision. I love Neil Warnock, but I don't think he would be the right decision at his age.

Adkins took Southampton into the premiership and was also part of their rebuilding process...

For the ones calling me a idiot please tell me what jfh has on his cv that compares to that or what experience he has on his cv that matches that of someone like Adkins?

My point isn't that Adkins should be our next manager but more of fact that he has a much more superior cv and knowledge of this league compared to jfh!!

Also if we are looking at up and coming managers from the lower league who are making a impression why isn't Justin Edinburgh from Gillingham being looked at or approached?

Has them sitting second which is outstanding!!

Funny he hasn't shot to the top of the list isn't it?!

We might be for all we know, all we are all going on is paper speculation, which doesn't seem to be that reliable, so anything is still possible.

                              Adkins is a 'Has-Been' now..

Some managers do really really well and then have one bad job and it all goes sour, I'm afraid that Nigel is foooked unless he starts turning it around at Sheff United. (Yep he's all the way back in league 1) Some managers pull it back, but it didnt work out at Reading.

JFH is on the up, he's smashing it at Burton and younger. He's also had a promotion.....

Adkins would be an awful appointment. So he took Southampton up, great, what happened to him after that? He did a decent job with Scunthorpe but other than that, he's largely been mediocre. Appointing him isn't looking at stabilising the club long term is it?
